Post Doc Research associate(male/female/diverse)

in the field of flotation and hydrometallurgy.

The position is set up for a scientific development with the goal of a habilitation or a comparativetarget and is not linked to a specific project. The employment period is 3 years withthe opportunity to prolong for further 3 years. The position is available starting immediately.

Payment is according to the provisions of the collective agreements in the public sector inthe country (TV-L) according to salary group E13.

The department of mineral and waste processing at Clausthal University of Technologyworks since more than 90 years in the field of mineral processing and since more than 30years in the field of waste processing and recycling. With approx. 40 researchers, techniciansand administrative staff the department focusses on metal concentration and recoverymainly from anthropogenic deposits and end of life products on average in 20 - 30 runningresearch projects and assignments. IFAD is working on all technology research levels(TRL) and is affiliated with a large number of regional, national, European and internationaluniversities, research organizations and companies.

The candidate shall lead and support a group of doctoral students, working on flotationand hydrometallurgy and will be part of the strategic and operative steering committee of IFAD.

Further tasks are:

  • Teaching activities, covering up to 4 hours per week
  • Co-supervision of Bachelor and Master students
  • Contributions to the preparation of scientific publications and project documentations
  • Planning and preparation of research project proposals

Required Qualifications:

Excellent Master of Science or equivalent degree in mechanical processing, chemicalengineering, environmental engineering, recycling or similar

  • PhD in one of the above described fields,
  • High motivation for interdisciplinary work within the group of project partners
  • Excellent knowledge of the German and also of the English language
  • Ability to work independently and task-oriented

The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated team player and should have good communicativeand organizational skills as well as creativity.
